Made in America, the Garden Traditions collection is meticulously cast in composition stone and hand finished by skilled craftsmen. This elegant fountain was made after Donatello’s Marzocco lion, the heraldic symbol of Florence. Commissioned in 1418, the original lion is now part of the permanent collection of the Bargello National Museum in Florence. The Garden Traditions edition is cast from an American marble replica, ca. 1910, after the 15th-century Italian original. The fountain is piped for water. There is a slot on the back that allows for removable surface mounting. For permanent installation, we recommend using a contractor or mason. Measures 20”H x 16.75”W x 10.5” D (tip of nose to back). Backplace measures 4” deep. Shown here in weathered granite. The Garden Traditions collection is available in three colors: Limestone, Travertine and Granite. In addition, we offer a weathered surface finish. Our optional weathered finish is an individual, hand-applied surface patina. It replicates the natural patina stone acquires over time and is unique to each piece. Individual finish samples can be purchased for $4.50.
