Decorative Porcelain Indigo Bowl With White Patterned Interior

The Indigo Bowl is mix of bold contrast. The striking indigo blue exterior of the bowl is juxtaposed with the pattern on the interior. Sometimes you may fill it with fruit, decorative balls or plant a group of orchids, or if left unfilled--the pattern is a wonderful decorative detail on the inside of the bowl. The overall vermicelli pattern is a reference to the canals of Venice and all the movement of water. John Loecke painted the pattern as a memory of one of their trips to the Grand Canal in Venice.
