As a resident of Greenwich, CT, I enjoy reading Serendipity Magazine.  I was featured in the April 2013 issue where I made my furniture and decorative recommendations for Spring - read the article here.  In this month's September issue, I am pleased to be in the company of Greenwich resident Lauren Santo Domingo.  The team asked me to curate some home decor picks that reflect the Fall 2013 runway collections.

From the runway to the hallway!  Candy Coated, illuminating pastels are big for Fall.  I selected our fabulous Chelsea Grande Pink Personalized Tray, Elysee Park Wall Art, Silver and Blue Morocco Wastebasket, Acadia Embroidered Pillow in Pink and our Turquoise Lacquered Indoor/Outdoor Side Table  to reflect the baby blues, and powder pinks shown at Victoria Beckham and Giambattista Valli.  (OOPS!  Serendipity misprinted the price of the Turquoise Lacquer Side Table - it's $622.50  not $2247! Big price difference for a side table!)
The punk inspired trend alert reflected the punk theme we saw at this year's Met Ball! Punk, tartan and studs were ever-present on every celebrity who attended - and in the Fall 2013 shows we saw just that.  I had a bit of fun with our over the top Metal Skull and the on-trend Van Campen Red Plaid II Needlepoint Pillow.  Throw a little of the unexpected into the mix with our in a modern chippendale mirror.  Who knew an old Chippendale mirror could be revamped with clean sleep lines to throw a little of the elegant into an edgy room!
Winter white is always in style for winter and I couldn't help but choose my favorite Oomph Gossip Chair paired with our fun Maze end tables!  Ginger jars are always "in" especially in monochromatic colors and ours is perfect for a winter white room.  Enjoy our fun picks for Fall!  ~Melissa Hawks
